Permaculture

Permaculture The first rule of permaculture is: build soil. And you can tell as many people as you want! Our goal is twofold: care for planet, care for people. Restoring soil is a great way to do both. Better soil means a more resilient web of life, healthier humans, and stronger communities growing their own food sovereignty. Come to one of our free weekend workshops to learn about: Outdoor composting Indoor Worm Composting Small animals for the backyard homestead What do they need? What do they give? Deep Green Resistance Analysis

Deep Green Resistance Analysis What is Our Work? The songbirds and the salmon need your heart, no matter how weary, because even a broken heart is still made of love. They need your heart because they are disappearing, slipping into that longest night of extinction, and the resistance is nowhere in sight. We will have to build that resistance from whatever comes to hand: whispers and prayers, history and dreams, from our bravest words and braver actions. It will be hard, there will be a cost, and in too many implacable dawns it will seem impossible. But we will have to do it anyway. So gather your heart and join with every living being. ...

DGR Conference

DGR’s Next Annual Conference August, 2026 in Philadelphia. After a successful conference in 2025, Deep Green Resistance Annual Conference will return to the Philadelphia area for its 2026 conference. Please stay tuned for our precise dates. That stated, our 2026 conference will not be exactly like previous DGR annual gatherings. While maintaining its strong networking function, we plan focus proceedings more closely on our refined core mission: education and analysis. 2026 will feature a more structured, education-focused agenda and include seminars facilitated by a number of the educators and scholars in our movement but it will still end in an urban campfire session each night. ...

Deep Green Resistance: Abridged Book

This book is about creating a culture of resistance. And it’s about creating an actual resistance. It’s about creating the conditions for salmon to be able to return, for songbirds to be able to return, for amphibians to be able to return. This book is about fighting back. And this book is about winning.” -- Derrick Jensen, Preface to Deep Green Resistance Synopsis Deep Green Resistance starts where the environmental movement leaves off: industrial civilization is incompatible with life. Technology can’t fix it, and shopping—no matter how green—won’t stop it. To save this planet, we need a serious resistance movement that can bring down the industrial economy. Deep Green Resistance evaluates strategic options for resistance, from nonviolence to guerrilla warfare, and the conditions required for those options to be successful. It provides an exploration of organizational structures, recruitment, security, and target selection for both aboveground and underground action. Deep Green Resistance also discusses a culture of resistance and the crucial support role that it can play. Deep Green Resistance is a plan of action for anyone determined to fight for this planet—and win. ...
